1. What subjects do you tutor?

I offer tutoring in a range of subjects including spelling, writing, reading, language and maths.

2. What year levels do you support?

I offer tutoring for primary aged students but depending on needs will tutor secondary in reading and spelling.

3. How do tutoring sessions work?

Sessions are tailored to each student’s goals. I begin by assessing current strengths and areas for growth, then create a personalised learning plan.

4. Do you offer online tutoring?

No, I don’t offer online sessions. All sessions are face to face.

5. How long is each session?

Most sessions run for 45–60 minutes, depending on the student’s age and learning needs. Longer sessions are available on request.

6. How often should my child attend tutoring?

This depends on the student’s goals. Many attend once or twice a week. I can recommend a schedule after meeting your child and understanding their needs.

7. What qualifications do your tutors have?

I am a registered teacher with 35 years of experience and hold a current Working with Vulnerable People Check.

8. Can tutoring help with completing homework given at school?

No, tutoring is tailored to meet the needs of the student from the assessments that are administered.

9. How do you track student progress?

I monitor progress through regular check-ins, informal assessments and feedback to families. You’ll receive updates on achievements and next steps.

10. What if my child has learning difficulties?

I have experience supporting students with diverse learning needs, including dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, ADHD and language disorders, such as Developmental Language Disorder.

11. What is your cancellation policy?

I kindly ask for 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Late cancellations may incur a fee. A service agreement will need to be signed before commencement of tutoring sessions.

12. How much does tutoring cost?

Fees vary depending on session type and length. Initial assessments and reports are between $150-$250 depending on time delivering report on where your child is at with their learning. Other follow-up sessions are $140 per hour.

A full schedule of fees will be given when you make contact and will be tailored to the learning needs of your child.
